My name is cowfarmer and I am 13. I have been visiting the grand canyon and other canyons around the world. I am leaving to do this because I need to get away from home. I am feeling good about this trip because it is going to be fun. My family is rally happy that we are going to be away for a while.

An ODE to primates

The big beautiful ape wonderful and so many kinds
more and more leave this earth
because you are getting hunted
People protect you and feed you
fruits, nuts, bugs and berries
Many times you see a person you run
but don't we are family
I will come and see you at a zoo

Compare

I am really different from my character I do not stay in my house all the time and also I do not play with kids younger than me. For normal food that I eat it is pizza and food like that not porrage yuk! I never really go to evants I don't go and watch people fight behind my house. My government is different to because I am not ruled by kings and queens .

Medieval Event

Everyone in my village was their. It happened in the field behind my house. It happened on March 17th. Some people where fighting and it turned nasty. People where drunk and they started fighting. Well it was behind my house so I just looked out the window. I thought it was neat but I don't know why they were fighting. Some of the other people where trying to break it up and it did not happen. Just some hurt young men.

Culture

I hang out with a lot of the younger kids because there is only a few older kids. For food I eat it is like you eat on holidays we have feasts and on any other day we have normal food. Some days in my town it is cold and wet and we stay in our houses and do nothing or play games. Some days
it is warm and everyone after work is playing outside. Our houses are close together and their is an open feild as our backyard and we play out their

Obama

I think it is stupid that Obama wants us to go to school longer and have shorter summer vacation. Some people have things to do over the summer and who wants to be locked up in a stuffy school all day when you can be swimming and having fun. Also wouldn't you want to go somewhere fun and spend time with your family

Government

The government I live in is feudalism it is when it has kings and queens , lords, and theifs. One thing that I hated was that know body was treated the same their was peasants and serfs and upper classes like kings and queens. The thing that I like about my government was nice and like our life now but we don't have kings and queens and knights. I love that everyone gets along and rarely have fights and we have good entertaining.

Hi my name is Daisy Dyer I live in england I am 17 and I do not go to school because my Mom works very hard and i have to help them because we have very little money and I have to help my Mom dye cloth and it is a job for 2 people because you have to work together . I have a little brother named Zeke that is 10 and he goes to school so we don't have to watch him. My Mom is a dyer and my Dad can't work because he has problems with his hands. My house has 3 rooms a bedroom me and Zeke share and my mom and dad share a room. we also have a kitchen. In my free time I play games with Zeke and we go for walks together. At my house for chores I have to wash dishes and sweep the floor and clean my room. At my work house i have to mix up all the dyes and clean the dishes they are in.

Memoir

My time at the fair with my goats

It is near the end of summer and we are going to spend the weekend at the Dover fair. I am so excited because I get to bring my goats Diamond, Opie, Fudge, Pepper, Nutmeg, and Spice and I get to see Sally the lady I got my goats from.

“It is going to take us two trips to get there,” said my dad

“ Ok and then you can stay with Sally if she is there,” said Sarrah

The first trip we brought my goats and our tack which is grain, hay, water bowls, show box, and a lot more stuff. Now my dad and sister has to go and get the cows cause we have to show them, After we got the first load unloaded I stayed with Sally to watch my goats. Then after a while Sally went and did something and I saw my friend Kelly.

“Hey Sam what's going on?” said Kelly

“Not much how are you?” I said

“Good do you want to help us unload our trailer?” Kelly said

“Sure”. I said

I did even though I did not want to but I wanted to be nice.

A little later Sally and I went and met this couple that had sheep and a lot of them. Sally and I talked to them for a while. Then my dad and sister came with our cows .We have to feed them and Fudge did not eat .He was acting a little weird. We did not know what was wrong with him, so we gave him baking soda with water in it because it helps them with belly aches.

The next day Taylor came because she was going to be there the whole time and I am so happy. Now it is time to feed Diamond, Opie, Fudge, Spice, Pepper and Nutmeg. When Taylor and I had to feed them, Fudge would not eat or drink. We gave him Baking soda again because we thought he had a belly ache. Then we found out that baking soda was not helping. My mom and I went to the store and we got vinegar. Every few hours Sally and I gave him vinegar.

Right when we got back we gave Fudge the vinegar. He did not like it very much. Then we let Diamond try it and she loved it. So did Spice and the babies, Opie, Pepper, and Nutmeg. It was so funny watching them drink it. That day I spent some time with Kelly. It is Ok spending time with her but she can get irritating .

“Guess what,” Kelly said.

“ What,” I said.

“We should suck up to Sally and clean out her goat pens in the morning to she if we can get the herdsman award,” Kelly said

“I don't want to because who would get the trophy,” I said

“Well we can share it,” said Kelly

“That would be hard,” I said

“Not really,” Kelly said

Now I don't know what I want to do then. A little later Taylor and I walked around the midway which is the fair grounds. We see a lot of rides we want to go on.

This morning I did not wake up that early because I am lazy. Taylor and I hung out a lot and we talk about Kelly and how she keeps the tack stall so messy.

“I hate cleaning this tack stall,” I said.

“I know why does Kelly keep it so messy?” Taylor said

“Well she takes money from her mom and than she goes out and buys a lot of things to eat and she does not take care of her trash,” I said.

“ Oh Ok I think that is rude,” Taylor said.

“Me too,” I said.

Now we have to feed them give Fudge his vinegar and give them fresh water. On Saturday afternoon they had the costume parade and we had to go to the store and get them costumes. I took Pepper and Nutmeg in the parade with me and Spice went with Taylor. At the store I got two little fairy outfits for Pepper and Nutmeg also I was a princess too. Then for Taylor and Spice we got doctor outfits. They were so cute together. We got back just in time for the parade. After the parade they had a obstacle course and I took Pepper in it and got third place. Then my friend Mackenzie came and me, Taylor , and Mackenzie went on rides with my brother, Steve, Joey and Emily.

“I am so excited,” said Mackenzie.

“ I am too,” said Taylor.

“We can go on the ferris wheel after,” I said.

Taylor and Mackenzie said, “ Yea, we should with Rj and Steve.”

We are in line to get on the Gravatron.

“I can't wait to get on the ride,” Taylor said.

“I really want to get on it now,” said Mackenzie

Now we are getting off the Gravatron.

“That was totally awesome,” we all said

“Now we can go on the ferris wheel,” I said

“Ok then we can go on a different ride after,” said Taylor.

I went on a ride called the Gravatron three times and it is like a space ship. You walk into it and find a place to stand then it goes so fast that you can go upside down also the walls move it is so much fun. Now I had to feed my goats and clip there hooves and it took a long time. Then we went on rides till they almost closed down. Either it was that night or the one before me, Taylor, and Mackenzie took all my goats for a walk then we took the other three for a run and we took them down to the garden tractor pulls for a second and then we ran back. One thing I love about the fairs is that there is so many smells and things to see. Also I love to see people that have never seen a cow or goat before because they laugh when they see a cow go to the bathroom or when they are mooing people always laugh and it is funny.

“ Oh my gosh look at those people over there laughing at the cow,” I said.

“ They are laughing at the cow cause it is going to the bathroom,” Taylor said.

“Ha ha ha ha look at the cow,” said the other people.

“ I think that is not nice to be laughing at the cow when it is going to the bathroom,” I said.

“ Ya if they were that cow I would laugh at them,” said Taylor.

“ Well they probably have never seen a cow before,” I said.

“ Yea your right,” said Taylor.

Now it is Sunday and I get to show my goats. When I woke up I had to feed my goats and then took a shower because you have to look nice when you show cows or goats or even sheep. Then after that I ate breakfast and my mom did Kelly and my hair she french bradded it. Then after that I had to hurry to get my goats fitted for the show and what you have to do to fit them is wipe their butts and ears then trim up the hair around the hooves and then put baby oil on them to make them shiny. Then you have to wipe down there fur to make them smell good. Now they are all ready and then we had to give Fudge the vinegar and what that does is if they have urinary stones it can make them go away cause vinegar is an acid. Now it is time to show them and I got mostly firsts and seconds then I got second in the herd call with three of my goats. Also I got grand champion with Fudge and reserved with Opie and Diamond the Pepper Nutmeg and spice did very well also. Then I also got the sportsmanship award.

Now it is time to take them home. They are so happy that they are home now but Fudge is not getting any better. Three days later he had a surgery to see if he had urinary stones and he did he had them so bad that he could not use the bathroom so we had to put him down and he is in a better place now. He was my favorite goat and my dads and my moms favorite goat he was the coolest.
